NEWS FLASH! I was interviewed by CNN about my work "OBAMA IN BLUE"! WOW! Nice people and they were nice enough to let me tell my story about the work.
I am one of the "Obama Quilters". Our work will be exhibited at The Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation Arts Center at Montgomery College Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus, MD, February 9 - March 5, 2009. The title of the exhibit is "President Obama: a Celebration in Art Quilts". A book will be published about the exhibit and looks as if a traveling exhibit might just be in our future, which would be wonderful.
Being involved with this project has been really exciting. I was recently interviewed by Karen Musgrave of The Alliance For American Quilts SOS and that interview is now cataloged with The Library Of Congress and is history forever. What a wonderful feeling that was to be interviewed and realize the future of the interview.
